Colin Christie is the President of the Board of Trustees of the Analytics Association of the Philippines. He is the Executive Director of Global Chamber® Manila. Previously, he was a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Health Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP). He serves on the Board of Directors of Lifetrack Medical Systems Inc., Medcode, Inc., Navigent Health, Inc., and is an Independent Director of NOW Corporation (PSE:NOW). He previously was Founder/CEO of MxSecure, Inc., a pioneer of the Philippines BPO sector.
Michelle Alarcon | Vice President | Co-Chair, Industry Development Council
Michelle has 22 years of IT consulting experience, with 14 years implementing and managing projects in the Philippines, US, and Europe on Business Intelligence and analytics. She pioneered the Analytics Department of the largest local private bank in 2005, implementing a Single Customer View for the group of companies, and headed the Consulting team of a top 3 software company in 2011 where she led a team of 150 consultants in implementing enterprise solutions for companies worldwide. As head of Z-Lift, she continuously enhances the analytics methodology developed from her years of implementation experience and oversees all projects to ensure success with clients.
Dominic “Doc” Ligot | Secretary | Co-Chair, Membership & Marketing Council
Data and analytics consultant, entrepreneur and technologist. Doc founded CirroLytix, a social impact data analytics company and co-founded Data Ethics PH, a community focused on social issues such as data privacy, data security, AI discrimination and liabilities, digital ownership rights, and data poverty. He is the AAP Program Lead for SPARTA, a DOST-funded project to provide 30,000 data science scholarships in collaboration with the DAP and Coursebank. Doc is also a Board of Trustees member at the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ).
Doc’s teams won the SEA Grand Prize in the Break The Fake Hackathon by USAID-YSEALI and the Best Use of Data award in the NASA International Space Apps Challenge for data-driven dengue-detection. He is also the lead analyst for the WHO-recognized global CoronaTracker initiative against COVID-19. Before co-founding AAP, Doc previously worked at Teradata Corporation as Asia-Pacific Partner for Data Science and Advanced Analytics. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines, and Professional Certificates in Data driven Marketing and Advanced Marketing Research from Cornell University, and Clinical Epidemiology from Utrecht University.
Bom Villatuya | Treasurer | Co-Chair, Industry Development Council
Bom has two decades of professional experience spanning the fields of rural banking, finance, risk management, and accounting. At present, he serves as the managing director and president of the Rural Bank of Luisiana Inc., and an independent business consultant. Prior to rural banking, his roles include working as a senior associate for Pricewaterhouse Coopers Philippines, controllership for a division of Universal Robina Corporation, and risk controlling for Deutsche Knowledge Services Pte. Ltd.
Bom is a Certified Public Accountant with an accounting degree from the University of Santo Tomas. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors Philippines and holder of the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certificate issued by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
Sherwin Pelayo | Co-Chair, Policy, Research & Insights Council
Sherwin Pelayo has been involved in strategic capability development initiatives at Accenture, IBM, Pointwest Technologies Corporation, and now at Teradata Global Delivery Center in the Philippines. In this role, Sherwin has been responsible for defining strategies to initiate and expand key transforming digital services including identifying focus areas, defining competencies, building curricula, enabling practitioners, developing leads and opportunities, architecting solutions, and ensuring project delivery.
His current focus is in Analytics and Experience Design. It is in the intersection of these two where Sherwin finds his passion–connecting the science of Analytics and the art of Human-Centered Design not only to bring data-inspired, user-driven solutions for business partners but also deliver greater, more impactful social innovation for the Philippines.
Eugene Rex L. Jalao, PhD | Co-Chair, Talent Development Council
Dr. Eugene Rex L. Jalao is an Associate Professor of Analytics and Industrial Engineering in the University of the Philippines Diliman, Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.
His ten years of work and research experience are in the fields of business analytics both here in the Philippines and in the United States of America, specifically in the Banking, FMCG, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Healthcare, Telecommunications and Information Technology industries. Furthermore, he was part of 50-person APEC team that drafted the Recommended Data Science and Analytics Competencies last May 2017 in Singapore.
Monchito B. Ibrahim | Co-Chair, Policy, Research & Insights Council
Mr. Ibrahim recently retired as Undersecretary for Regional Operations and ICT Industry Development of the DICT. He also served as Commissioner of the then Commission on Information and Communications Technology. Before joining government, he had a long successful career with multinational companies like Fujitsu, WeServ, Siemens-Nixdorf, Comparex Germany and Unisys Australia in various executive positions. He is a Trustee and President of the University of the Philippines System Information Technology Foundation (UPSITF) and a member of the Technical Panel for Information Technology Education (TPITE) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) since 2006. He completed a Public Sector Executive Program on Innovative Government at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore. During the 2012 International ICT Awards, he was given the ICT Individual Contributor Award for his contributions to the growth of the Philippine IT-BPO Industry. He was also named as one of the Ten ICT Industry Movers and Shakers for the period 2002-2012 and recipient of the Boards’ Choice as Government Champion, both given by the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP). In 2016, he was given the Sapphire Flare for Brilliance Award by IBPAP for his work in the development of home-grown BPO companies in the rural areas.
Karlo Panti | Co-Chair, Talent Development Council
Karlo is a Senior Director of Operations at IQVIA responsible for mature markets and developed countries in the Asia Pacific and the Country Head of IQVIA Solutions Operations Center Philippines, Inc. serving as the President and Chairman.
In addition, he is one of the founding members of the Analytics Association of the Philippines serving in the Board of Trustees as the External Relations and Marketing Chair and also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines as the Communications Chair.
He has more than 20 years of experience in operations and service delivery, having managed large teams in different industries and geographies and migrated new business processes to the Philippines from different Fortune 500 companies.
